{"id":1058,"date":"2013-09-24T22:59:23","date_gmt":"2013-09-24T21:59:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.semicolon.no\/?p=1058"},"modified":"2014-03-21T10:43:03","modified_gmt":"2014-03-21T09:43:03","slug":"survey-on-vocabulary-and-ontology-tools","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.semicolon.no\/?p=1058","title":{"rendered":"Survey on vocabulary and ontology tools"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In the case for &#8220;The Br\u00f8nn\u00f8ysund Register Centre&#8221; we have written a survey on vocabulary and ontology tools, including a methodology for comparing tools.<br \/>\nThe report <a href=\"https:\/\/www.semicolon.no\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/Semicolon_Vocabulary-tools-survey_v1.0.pdf\">Survey on vocabulary and ontology tools<\/a> is free to download.<br \/>\nIn developing this document we have received input from a plethora of experts and stakeholders in Norway, to give this report greater applicability than just to solve a problem in the case for the Register Centre.<\/p>\n<p>The document also includes a methodology for evaluating and choosing tools for managing and working with vocabularies. We have tested this evaluation methodology to find tools that could meet our five use cases.<\/p>\n<p>And based on the methodology in the document we ended up with 4 tools that we are adapting to meet our use cases, these tools will be demonstrated to the identified stake holders.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Evaluation of Vocabulary and ontology tools<\/strong><br \/>\nThe evaluation of the select tools could be found in the report on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.semicolon.no\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/Uttesting_Av_Begrepsklienter_1_0.pdf\">&#8220;Evaluering av klienter for semantic vokabular&#8221;<\/a>, in Norwegian.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In the case for &#8220;The Br\u00f8nn\u00f8ysund Register Centre&#8221; we have written a survey on vocabulary and ontology tools, including a methodology for comparing tools.
